Hello!

We are Lucy and Dave, creative artists and makers.

We love to make things - from tiny scale miniatures to huge theatre props, and have had the pleasure of working in model making for many years.

We have practical, problem solving and organisational skills, to provide finished products within budgets and deadlines.

Much of our work has been in stop-frame animation, making props and sets, and running props departments.

Our work has involved many different techniques and materials such as sculpting, moulding and casting in resins, silicones, foams, jesmonite and plaster. Vac-forming plastic, woodwork, metalwork, wire, paper and papier mache, fabrics, application of various textures and finishes, and painting by spraying or by hand. Whatever best suits the look and usage of the model.

Wherever possible we will choose the more environmentally sound, sustainable and healthy options. More recycling and repurposing of materials, less use of nasty chemical substances.

We welcome the challenges of new ideas, materials and techniques, we are always keen to learn. There is usually more than one way to create a model - figuring out the best way is a big part of the appeal of model making.
